Mike receives an eBird summary spreadsheet (very large file) with each season’s data, including summary, first of season (FOS), last of season (LOS), maxima tables that are very useful. These arrive about a month after the preceding season, which works now that we are behind, but when we get caught up on schedule, it will be delayed. We need to find a way to transfer/share this large file.
After I receive the draft compilation (Word file) from Joe,
then I review for accuracy by each column, look for records requiring
verification not already marked by Joe, look for additional records (Kingbird
eBird spreadsheet, emails / geneseebirds posts, BOS website photos, etc.), and
update the yearly list. I then send
email to Alec and Willie with eBird links and other attachments to conduct
Statisticians review. Very important for the compilers to include links to
eBird sightings for ALL species requiring verification.
